Help Heather heal

Hello world, this morning I woke up to a gut churning text about my girlfriend and best friend Heather who was in a life threatening snowboarding accident and airlifted from a Ski resort to a trauma center with extensive injuries. Heather broke her back, broke her leg in multiple spots, lacerated her liver, broke multiple ribs and has a collapsed lung, bruised her kidneys, and is suffering from internal bleeding. The doctors have stabilized Heather and are preparing her for many surgeries to come. The healing process has just begun and Heather is still in good spirits regardless of the pain she is in. She still managed to make me laugh when I was able to speak with her on the phone telling me that the good news is she is covid negative. I am across the country from her doing everything I can for my best friend from afar as she can’t even have visitors with covid protocols. She will spend weeks in the hospital recovering after multiple surgeries and will have to continue recovering through rehab and physical therapy. Heather is the most incredible person I’ve ever met. She is sweet and strong, well traveled and incredibly smart. Heather is always a ray of sunshine and continues to grace people with her positivity and understanding. She lives a life full of passion and changes the lives of people around her everyday. She is always there for anyone in need and now she needs us. Heather needs your help, to support her through this incredibly traumatic time in her life. Her life will change dramatically after this accident but I know she will face all of this with a positive spirit. She will spend so much time recovering and facing obstacles. We are all praying for the best, and hope to only hear good news throughout her surgeries. Please help the love of my life start to heal. All money raised will go to Heather in anyway she can use it for medical support.
