Arlo's Emergency Surgery Fund

This is my 5 month old kitten Arlo, this story is very sad and very tragic (emotional/ graphic warning) I was at work when I received a gut wrenching call from my girlfriend and sister screaming and crying my cat had been attacked by my dog. (For general understanding my dog is food aggressive and we take huge precautions with this aggression/issue)
My girlfriend, sister and mother had left home around 6:45pm.. headed out christmas shopping and stopped to visit me at work for food. When they got home it was about 7:30pm and my dog was sitting on her bed as usual everything seemed normal, until my girlfriend had gone upstairs and seen my bedroom door was open and my other cat jewl had been out. (The cats do not come out of my room unless the dog is not home, or being highly monitored with no food around other than that they’re in my room. When no one is home the door is shut and the cats are not allowed out.) So of course she panicked and looked for Arlo my 5 month old kitten. She found him in my sisters bed and he had appeared to be sleeping with his face down as he usually does so she assumed he was okay. Maybe 10 minutes go by and my sister went up to her bedroom to bring gifts up and as normal she went right to the cats to greet them. Though this was not a normal greeting. !! Graphic warning !! She says “He was laying in bed cuddling up next to Jewl facing the wall, I went to kiss him and he had turned his head with his mouth dropped open and blood coming out. Blood coming from his nose and left eye.” My mother rushed them to the emergency vet, one of the only one open at the time. I then left work early as I was overthrown with stress and anxiety. With X-rays and medication he has been sent home with a request for Jaw surgery along with a CT scan to check for the multiple other fractures they assume are there from swelling. This is where we are in a tough situation. They are asking for thousands of dollars and won’t do the surgery until the $4,500 deposit is put down and the other half will the come after the surgery. My family and I are overwhelmed with vet bills, medications and all the visits. This is the last choice we wanted to make having to come out here but absolutely anything helps and we could not be more happy that our baby boy made it. Thank you for taking the time to read arlos story and considering donating. I know times are tough for many, but any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in getting Arlo the surgery he desperately needs. Your support would mean the world to my family and I and I’m incredibly grateful for any help you can provide. Arlo has shown incredible strength keeping light in this awful situation and I won’t give up on him. He is the most spunky, loving, crazy and affectionate cat and I want nothing but the best for him. Thank  you again for reading Arlo’s story
   Sincerely, Summer.
