Help Molly Fight for Her Life

Molly is our 6-year-old chocolate brown Labrador — sweet, loving, and full of energy. She’s the heart of our home and brings joy to everyone she meets.

Recently, we noticed that Molly wasn’t herself — tired, slow, and unwell. After several vet visits and tests, we discovered her red blood cells were dangerously low, and she had stopped producing them. Just 10 days ago, she was hospitalized and required an urgent blood transfusion to save her life. Without it, Molly might not be here with us today.

Multiple tests, scans, and even a bone marrow biopsy were done. The vets diagnosis is myelofibrosis, but it’s still unclear whether it’s caused by cancer or an autoimmune condition. She’s currently started on steroids as part of a trial treatment plan, with further tests scheduled every few weeks to monitor her progress. If Molly doesn’t respond to the medication, it could indicate something more serious and concerning.

Molly also has a huge lump near her spleen that may require surgery once she’s strong enough. For now, we’re hoping she responds well to her medication and continues fighting — because she’s a fighter through and through.

Despite everything, Molly still wags her tail and greets us with love every single day. She’s young, strong, and has so much more life to live — more walks to enjoy, more cuddles to give, and more hearts to touch.

Unfortunately, the costs of her hospital stay, diagnostic tests, and ongoing treatment have been overwhelming. I’m currently facing financial constraints, and any amount — no matter how small — would make a huge difference in helping Molly get the care she needs.
