Michael's Fight Against Cancer

I have created this gofundme on behalf of Nate and Marcy Palmiter's youngest, Michael. He is like a nephew to my husband and my heart just breaks for them.

Their world was turn upside down on September 14th, when Nate took Michael, 10 years old, to the ER at Royal Oak Beaumont because he was having headaches that were causing vomiting for the past week or so. The doctors found a mass on Michael's brain and they had Michael admitted to the hospital that night. On September 18th Michael had brain surgery to remove the tumor. Michael recovered from the surgery great, the tumor was on his brain and not in his brain, which was less likely to not cause any or little neurological issues.

They got the pathology results back and Michael was diagnosed with a high grade glioblastoma, Stage 4.

On October 20th Michael had a MRI/CT to have his mask made for the up coming radiation treatment that started October 24th along with chemotherapy. He goes 5 times a week for 6 weeks for 30 minutes of radiation sessions.

Then on November 10th, they received some more heartbreaking news. Michael had another MRI showing 1 large cyst, with smaller cysts, some solid components and slightly smaller than the one removed on September 18th. This is a very aggressive cancer and the doctors are focusing on finding the best form of treatment to give Michael for the best outcome as quickly as possible.
