This fundraising campaign is dedicated to my Beloved Boston Terrier named E.T. who suffers from a myriad of health issues including Cushing's Disease, Mastocytoma (cancer - so far two (2) surgeries, arthritis), and most recently herniated discs.
E.T. started having issues relating to his back about four months who whereby one minute he'd be fine, and a few minutes later he'd be lame and whimpering. Initially I thought it was due to his knees (for which he receives monthly Cartrophen injections for). After examination by our vet, it was determined that it was E.T.'s back that was causing the problem and was prescribed Tramadol and Metacam.
These crises became more frequent to the point where he has been diagnosed with herniated discs and the only way to resolve the issue is with surgery. My once playful funloving boy has been reduced to taking pain medication (Tramadol and Metacam) on a daily basis for his excruciating pain, rendering him sedated and immobile.
I am assured ET will make a complete recovery postoperatively, but it needs to be done this fall at the latest since he has already had several crises. This is no life for a dog who loves his long walks, playing with all his toys and giving his Mom kisses.

He has never let his health issues get him down until now.
I was rescued by ET one Saturday while doing volunteer work at a local no kill shelter. This tenacious bundle kept following me around with his toy as if asking me to play. I had not planned on a second dog (as I already have one with special needs) but, needless to say, that night I did not leave alone.
When I rescued my Boy, I promised him his worries were over and I need to keep my promise. I have already spent an excess of $10,000 to address past health issues related to his abuse/neglect. E.T.'s recent specialized testing for his Cushing's indicates that his dosage needs to be tweaked which means performing these specialized tests a few weeks after each dosage change to see if it is well controlled. There is another $2,000 easy.
The spinal surgery is about $5000 (if you include post surgical MRI). I've been able to financially handle the expenses until now and ask you to please look into your pockets and help me keep my promise to my beloved Boy. Iam not asking for it for myself. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated.
Imagine how you'd feel if your pet had episodes of lameness and with those big eyes, asks you to help.
Thank you for your time and if you wouldn't mind sharing this on your respective social media sites I'd greatly appreciate it.
Word of mouth is everything.
Hugs to everyone xo
