Update (6/2/2025):

We were able to find another surgery clinic that can perform the operation for significantly less. We are incredibly thankful! While the cost has decreased, it is still required upfront, so we will be keeping this fundraiser open until tonight and then closing it so we can proceed with Kirby’s surgery as soon as possible to prevent any further complications.

Hello everyone,

I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Nancy Yang, for her beloved dog, Kirby.

Kirby has been part of our family since she was a tiny puppy. She’s a 4-year-old short-haired corgi with a big personality. Kirby is loved by everyone — from the youngest children to the adults. Just last year, she gained a dog sister, Martha, who she adores playing with.

Kirby is normally an energetic and playful pup who loves running around, chewing on toys, and even barking at her own shadow just for fun. She’s known for giving "kisses" in the form of enthusiastic licks and lives for cuddles and belly rubs.

But two weeks ago, Kirby suddenly changed. She became lethargic, stopped eating, couldn’t keep food down, and no longer ran to greet us or give kisses. Her energy vanished, and it was heartbreaking to see such a lively spirit dim so quickly.

Today, we received the devastating news: Kirby has pyometra, a serious and life-threatening uterine infection that affects unspayed female dogs. If left untreated, it can be fatal. The only treatment is emergency surgery to remove the infected uterus and stop the spread of bacteria.

The cost of surgery and immediate medical care is $11,000, which is required upfront. At this time, our family is unable to cover the full cost, and we are humbly asking for your help.

Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward Kirby's surgery, medications, and recovery care. Your support can help give Kirby the chance to live a healthy, happy life again, surrounded by the family who loves her dearly.
