Hi, my name is Chris and I’ve started this page to try and raise funds to save my dog, my best friend and the best dog in the world, Hank.

Just over a week ago, Hank started showing a swollen belly and investigation has highlighted that he needs lifesaving surgery to operate and remove a cyst from his prostrate.

Hank is insured but sadly, due to the need for CT scans. Ultrasound, ECG, blood work, hospitalisation and more, the premium for his policy has been exceeded.

Hank is the one in a million dog, he is 54kgs of gentle giant and was referred to as “the gateway to loving and not being scared of dogs”.

He has come to work with us since he was 8 weeks old, he swims, comes to the pub, to friends houses, he paddle boards, he is literally a human in dog form!

Without this surgery, the cyst (which is the size of a football in his abdomen), Hank is in immediate risk of it rupturing and poisoning him from the inside out. Draining it is not an option as the wall is so thin it could burst and that is the worst case scenario.

I wouldn’t ask if there were any other option but, without surgery, Hank has no other path than to be out to sleep while he is safe and pain free rather than risking his life every day for 6-12 months knowing this could burst and cause him a painful end.

We are praying for a miracle but, if anybody deserves it, it’s Hank as he has brought more joy to the world and broken down the big dog stereotypes just by being himself.
