My beloved husband Mike is a brilliant senior software architect who has worked since he was 19 years old. He is smart, funny, and above all, the kindest person I have ever met. He never has a negative word about anyone. Work is everything to him, his life’s purpose, his expression of creativity, and his consolation when life gets hard.
In the last three years, he has had three strokes, and this last one has left him disabled: he has lost partial sight and is unable to use his hands or legs. His mind is still there, but trapped in the body. He is now completely dependent and will have to live out his life in a nursing home.
If that weren’t tragic enough, I am now left without his presence or support, with no idea where or how I will live. Mike has been in the hospital since March 21. The first week alone was over $100,000, and he has now been there for a month. When he is transferred to a nursing home, Medicaid will take all the disability income and that will leave me with no support.
I love my healing work, but it isn’t enough to keep a roof over my head. I have worked with love for 32 years. I now call on all the angels out there to extend a hand and please help me make it through this difficult time. I need help avoiding homelessness. This fundraiser aims to help cover my living expenses so I can continue doing my healing work and helping people. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
