My name is Lisa Portillo. My cousin Julissa Rivera suffer a terrible car accident November 23,2020 Julissa was Involved in a car accident where three teens were racing on a 45 going 80. They completely missed the lights as they were turning hitting the vehicle from the passenger side where Julissa was. Julissa Was immediately taken to the ER with her step father who is currently recovering. Julissa Is currently fighting to live as she experienced brain surgery due to multiple cracks on the skull , internal bleeding of the Brain,and glass entering near the frontal lobe and temporal lobe causing Julissa To not speak properly , lose of vision , weak barley able to walk, or manage to work her body. Her recent surgery did not go as plan, her body reject some blood from the one entering her system, mass brain bleeds and is now on a ventilator. Doctors have requested her to stay on for 2 or so weeks to relax her brain and body. Doctores have now requested a Craniectomy surgery. Craniotomy is a surgery to cut a bony opening in the skull. A section of the skull, called a bone flap, is removed to access the brain underneath. The doctors believe removing parts of her brain and resorting her bone and tissues will one day take her far and she will get back to her normal life. Surgery could be between February 2-4. Depending on what the family says. However this surgery is extremely expensive with the surgery it’s self cost a little over $60,000. That doesn’t include hospital bills for her being on a ventilator or of any kind , attention given by nurses and etc. This will cost over $100,000. However due to the car accident being caused by irresponsible teens. We are responsible for about $24,500. My goal is to raise whatever I can. All donations are welcome.
