James Macchiano’s Cancer Journey
Donation protected
After never experiencing a headache in his life, James suffered some excruciating and debilitating headaches shortly before Christmas of 2020. Doctors thought at first it was certainly covid-19. After a negative covid test, some doctors visits, and ultimately an MRI, it was found that a tumor in the right frontal lobe of his brain was responsible for his pain. After surgery to remove the tumor on January 5th, 2021, doctors found that it was indeed cancerous. Pathology will return in a few days to determine the grade of cancer.
On behalf of James and Emily I want to deeply thank you for your care, support, prayers, and well wishes during this challenging time for the Macchiano family. The warmth and love many of you have already shared is deeply appreciated and not unnoticed! We’ll be sure to update as soon as we hear more about the cancer grade and next steps toward his healing, which doctors believe will include chemotherapy and radiation.
At a time like this we as friends and family feel heartbroken, and a bit helpless. My hope is to recognize and meet a need in a way that will minister to James and Emily, and be a blessing to them. Money given here will be used in a variety of ways to help carry this family through one of the hardest fights of their lives.
While the family prepares for the hardships ahead of them, they truly covet your prayers! Prayers of healing, of peace and comfort, and prayers of provision. Their hearts want to lean on the Lord in all of their decision making and trust that His plans are good. Your prayers, gifts, and encouragements are so meaningful and deeply appreciated!
