Amariah’s journey to a kidney transplant
Donation protected
Hi EVERYONE,
it’s been a crazy year already, but we also ended 2020 with some horrible news my girlfriends daughter was diagnosed with kidney failure right before Christmas. Doctors are not sure what it was that attacked her kidneys but it was some type of virus and now she’s left with no choice but to get a Kidney Replacement. Amariah is 13 years old she’s so brave hasn’t complained once about any procedures that she’s had also hasn’t cried just has taken it all in says it’s kinda like she’s on the Grey’s Anatomy show LOL. She’s made the best of this whole situation as we are trying to as well. Trying to keep her as healthy as we can and on a renal diet. Making sure she continues to get the care that she needs including dialysis for three hours each day Monday’s and Wednesday’s and Friday’s of every week until she gets a kidney transplant. She gets her procedures at Rady’s Children Hospital in San Diego. Great doctors and nurses. Couldn’t have asked for a better hospital. Priscilla and I are doing the best we can with the circumstances. Great family and friends helping us as much as they can with the situation. The money raised on this go fund me is going to any care and procedure that is not covered including medicine and transportation to and from hospital a minimum of 3 times a week. And for the time off that priscilla Amariah’s mom has to take off of work every week to take her to all the appts and care for her. She is also O positive blood type if anyone knows of anyone willing to be a donor. She is being put on a donor list as soon as she sees the transplant doctor next week. There are so many restrictions with being a donor that seems so hard to become one but we are hopeful that she will get one hopefully right after being put on the donor list or sooner. Please send positive vibes our way and if you can’t help please spread the word for us. Thank you to all our family and friends that have already helped us stay positive in this time of need.
