My dad's been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks fighting with all he has left after contracting a colon infection after he had his bladder removed because of cancer. My folks have insurance, but we all know how expensive and quickly the medical bills add up.
Besides our family, some of you may have worked with my dad or just knew him because he was our dad - Lupe Jr, Mary, Suli and myself.
It's never easy to ask for help from friends and family members, but with something as drastic as this, we have to look forward and try too relief some of the debt that will be left behind for his kids and especially my mom. She's been through enough last couple of months.
Hoping we can take him home to be surrounded by family until he decides it's time to go.
