The Mountain Experience Haiti 2016

Donation protected
Blessings friends and family,

In 2013 I began my journey as a Missionary (Internationally).
I am honored to have traveled to Matagalpa, Nicaragua, Cape Haitian, Haiti and all over Cuba.

Being a missionary has changed my life and opened my eyes to many things. Being able to have relationships with others in different countries and see how they live daily through their eyes is life changing.

This is the third year I am co-leading a team at Harvest Fields Community Church.  In May I visited Cuba, July 30th I will head out with a team of 13 back to Haiti.   This will be my last year of a 3 year commitment in Haiti.

We will being going out this year to continue ministering to the lost and sick. Our focus will continue to be on evangelism in the mountains of Haiti in a community where some of the poorest people live.
We come in Gods love and healing power as He has commissioned us to do.
2014 was my first year in Haiti; we watched a man named Panu come into the church walking in crutches in a lot of pain. After being prayed over by some of the team he walked out of the church without pain and without his crutches!  All Glory to God.

2015 we got a chance to see Panu again and he was a brand new creation. He didn’t have any crutches, came in walking upright, gained some weight and looked like a brand new man. That is what Jesus does!
We also do VBS (vocational Bible school) in the Mother church with 500 children and their sister church with about 250 children. Every year the number increases. There are a lot of beautiful children in Haiti.

During our time there we have also conducted workshops on marriage, being a Christian single, the fruits of the spirit and the importance of having trade and goals for a career.

In 2014 we washed the congregation’s feet as Jesus did in John 13:1-17 and last year we were led to do it again but this time they washed ours in return. It was a moment that cannot be described.
When a brother and sister that has never met you, humbly knee before each other in the love of Jesus and wash each other’s feet. I mean it is a moment of pure love of God that  transcends all.

This year team Haiti started meeting in January and we continue to train until we leave in July. We learn about being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and how to truly die to self.
We fellowship, study, pray, fundraise and build tight bonds in which we are transparent and broken in front of one another.
We also have served at Father’s heart and the NYC Relief bus so we learn how to work together as a team.

We continue as well to work with Pastor Lucner to find support for the orphanage.  Unfortunately due to the earthquake the number of orphans in Cape Haitian has truly increased.   35 orphans were being fed 5 times a week now it is reduced to once a week.

Your financial donations will help us get to Haiti but also help feed the orphans while we are there. We are currently in the works with Compassion International to see if they will help the orphanage in Haiti. We ask that you keep that in prayer as well.

If you would like to know more about this you can contact me.

In order to do this I need your prayers and financial help.

So I ask, "Will you partner with me again?" Anything you give will help. Whatever God places on your heart.
We ask that you pray for us, your prayers are needed and powerful.

You can also help me by spreading the word and by posting this on your Facebook, twitter, emailing your friends and the use of all social media.

Change will come but we have to get involved.
I am blessed to have been called to this ministry. I am a disciple servant of Jesus Christ and nothing thrills me more than to be used for His Kingdom.
You can make a secure and safe tax deductible donation right here on my GO FUND ME PAGE.
I have 2 weeks before some of the money is to be handed in.

If you have any questions or would like more information feel free to contact me.
I truly appreciate your involvement and prayers.
Let us continue to be a blessing to those in need.

I love you all.
God bless you always,

Maribel Ortiz (Santos Figueroa)
