Mikala’s Recovery Journey

My 19 year old niece Mikala was the passenger of a major accident. She was t-boned on her side. Her hip was shattered and her ankle bones were nearly destroyed. She has already had a major 3 hour surgery and has to have more in a few days. This next surgery to try and save her ankle bones to put her foot back together, it’s all pretty tentative. Thank God, no internal or neurological traumas. However, with one surgery down and many to go, she has a long rehab ahead of her. Due to our worlds current state her visitors will be restricted. This all leads to such a lonely recovery. We are hoping to get things to support her to help feel connected and feed into her creative soul.
