Amora’s Last Chance
Donation protected
Right in our own backyard in Long Island, New York, Amora was being neglected and abused, left to die in a crate with no food or ability to get out to use the bathroom when we rescued her on November 4th, 2020 from a local neighborhood home in Bayport, NY. She was painfully thin, filthy, and had skin/eye infections from sitting in her own urine. She’s been in foster care since then with our local rescue - Last Chance Animal Rescue, in hopes of finding a forever home. A prior GoFundMe afforded us the opportunity to get her medical attention, vaccines, and a professional behavior evaluation. As we’ve gotten to know her better, we find Amora to be a sweet, amazing girl, but because of her abuse she has some “stranger danger” fears, which makes it unsafe for her to be adopted until she has had professional behavioral training.
Incredibly, a couple from Massachusetts have offered to adopt Amora once her 4-week long board and train is completed. However, we need to raise $2,200 in just one week to be able to afford this training. Please help one of our own Long Island pups; we are committed to get this beautiful and deserving girl into her forever home by the end of January, so that the second half of her life can make up for the lifetime of abuse/neglect she has already endured.
Thank you!
