CHARLES (CHUCK) HANCOCK: HELP WITH MEDICAL

Donation protected
Charles (Chuck) Hancock

On December 13, 2021, Chuck was walking in a huge windstorm from his house to move his truck away from his camper that was being pushed around by 80 plus mile per hour winds, when a microburst of wind picked him up and threw him about 30 feet through the air, landing him on his left leg, breaking his femur and hip.
Chuck's wife, Dee jumped in Chucks truck, parked it over him to shelter him from the camper beside him, the wind was attempting to blow over on him. Dee held on to the bumper of truck with Chuck until the wind slowed down, then she was able to get in the house and call 911.
The wind had blown down multiple trees on the road to their home, so the fire department had to cut a path through for the ambulance to be able to get to him, which took over an hour. Chuck caught pneumonia while on the ground waiting for help, Chuck was taken to Memorial Central for major surgery, which included putting a steel rod in from his knee to his hip. He was in the hospital for two weeks. Chuck is now in rehabilitation doing physical therapy and recovering at home.

The family has expended all of their savings towards repairs at their home from the wind. And Chucks Medical bills are in the hundred thousands.

Chuck and his wife are in need of help to pay bills coming in and medical bills.
As Chuck has a long, long road ahead to heal, it will be a year before Chuck will be able to do anything. His wife is on disability, so she does not have much coming in to help pay bills and the medical bills that are racking up. Chuck is in his 60's and it will take time for him to heal up and being that he is not as young to bounce back and take care of things around the home, they sure could use some help to stay afloat.

If you can help with any kind of donation, it would be greatly appreciated.

The UC Health media did an article on him. As soon as I can get that article, I will post it on here.
