Draft Mule Rescue from slaughter

We are fundraising for a senior draft molly mule who is in urgent need of being rescued. She comes from a life of hard work and service to the Amish. Sadly, as an aged mule who is no longer as productive as she once was, she finds herself in a situation where she will be headed to slaughter. She is broke to ride and drive and is sound. We would really like to rescue her from such a sad fate. Slaughter horses have to endure a ride to Mexico on a truck crammed full of other horses to face the horrific and inhumane slaughter practices there. She deserves so much better than this. This is a time sensitive situation and her time is limited. They will be sending her in the next week or so. We will have to pay her current owner what he'd expect to get from a meat dealer. We are also trying to cover some of the expenses upon her arrival. We appreciate anyone who wants be a part of this! We will go pick her up ourselves ASAP!! Please remember every little bit helps!!!
