Help with my dream of educating about mycology

Hey there my name is Eugene Hudders and for years I’ve been into the wonderful world of wild mushrooms! Back when I was a kid growing up I spent the majority of my time in the woods enjoying and exploring whatever nature had to offer. I’d always admired mushrooms from afar because I only knew that some are poisonous and I didn’t understand them yet. Fast forward to 2004 when I started my journey to where I’m at today and gathering all the knowledge I’ve amassed with my time in the woods, forests and mushroom companies of the southeast. I, like a lot of others, ran into a lot of problems along the way but learned a lot from all the mushroom companies I’ve worked at along the way. Without their knowledge I wouldn’t have the knowledge to grow a lot of different types. All along the way I kept getting screwed over and stabbed in the back by people I thought were my friends and has put me into a financial bind but I am on the road to recovering that lost time by progressing forwards with newer and better things. I would love to be able to travel the state safely and in small gatherings while wearing masks and teaching folks about the amazing world of wild mushrooms. That has been my ultimate goal is to teach about ecology and mycology of the different regions of Virginia. This will also award me the opportunity to be able to strengthen my knowledge about different ecological and regions that this beautiful state has to offer! It’s definitely diverse and would love to explore it with y’all. Thank you all ahead of time helping make this happen and here’s to education, without it nothing would be possible!
