Joel Paschal 60 yrs old was found by his wife in a critical state and rushed by Amulance early on Nov 26 to Tanner Carrollton. His oxygen was at 40 and his sugar was around 600 and his heart rate was extremely low. He was unable to communicate and his body was ridged. But when He got in the Ambulance and was put on oxygen he surprised them by helping pull up his sheet. That's when she knew he was going to be okay. He was admitted immediately for a critical case of Covid 19 Double Pneumonia. She was told there was a chance he might not make it to the hospital and again on Dec 6th when he was sedated, medically paralyzed and intubated and admitted to isolation in ICU.
On Dec 23rd she was again told that all they could do at this time was offer comfort care for a few days till he passed or they could take him off life support now and let him die. She rd him that was not an option. She asked for a list of ENTs that could work in Tanner. She contacted one and he came to check him out. Mr Paschal has been fighting for his life everyday since going in the hospital.
Today by the grace of God he is on that trach and looking at months of Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy as well as some therapy at home. They say it will take 1 year for each month he was in the hospital to regain most of what he lost. He will more then likely me in disability as they say he will not be able to return to work for the foreseeable future.

He is self employed and is the sole provider for his family. His wife has taken on being his care giver, being by his side every day.
The funds will be used to help with mortgage, utilities, gas for car and other family expenses.
