Hi, I’m Sheila Johnson. I’m 95 years old and this summer, on Wednesday, 11th June, I’m taking on a personal challenge—to paraglide from the mountains down to Playa de la Enramada, La Caleta in South Tenerife!

Why? I want to raise money for the Anglican Church of St Francis, in Tenerife. A wonderful community that has been my spiritual home for many years. Our Chaplaincy runs entirely on public donations and supports a wide range of local charities across the island.

I’ll be flying tandem with Daniel Crespo Valdez, a paragliding champion from Sky of Tenerife, and together we’re proving that age is just a number—and that it’s never too late to try something new while helping others.

Every donation, big or small, will help me keep the church going and continue supporting those in need.
