Paying tribute to Debbie Eichelberger

Hi everyone. I’m trying to help Uncle Jack provide Aunt Deb with a funeral or memorial that she is so deserving of! Let me start out by sharing their story: Aunt Deb & Uncle Jack met quite some time ago. Aunt Deb already had a beautiful girl and boy (Deana & Dink). Uncle Jack fell head over heals! They were married 5 years later... on April 21, 1979. After four (4) miscarriages, Mandy finally made her debut on September 15, 1985. We were all so excited!!! Much to all our surprise, Krissy debuted on September 11, 1986. These two beautiful girls completed their family of six! They spent so much time together! Like many families, life wasn’t always perfect... In fact, one of Uncle Jack’s favorite memories was when they were sitting down for dinner. If you know the Eichelbergers... you know we don’t always have a traditional dinner seated at the kitchen table. Uncle Jack was sitting on the sofa with a plate of spaghetti. In typical Uncle Jack fashion he asks, “Where’s the God D@$# garlic bread?” Well... like ANY Mrs. Eichelberger... there’s only so much you can put up with and Aunt Deb got up and tossed her plate of spaghetti right on Uncle Jack!! Can you say FOOD FIGHT?!?!? I don’t know about you, but picturing this makes me laugh!! Uncle Jack also says spending time making Aunt Deb laugh and spending time camping were his favorite things to do with Aunt Deb. I’m not gonna lie... some of my favorite memories were time spent with them at Meneoka! Time went on. Life was being lived! The kids were all getting bigger. Then... We know that Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year... and THE most magical day! Well not that Christmas Day! Our families lives, especially Aunt Deb, Uncle Jack’s and those four beautiful kids’... were turned upside down on December 25, 1993. That’s the day that Aunt Dab suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and life was never the same! Sure, Aunt Deb recovered (partially) and we all enjoyed so much more time together. We made so many more memories!! Then, in October of 2010 she suffered another aneurysm. The recovery didn’t go as well this time and Aunt Deb moved into the nursing home in 2012. Fast forward a bit... this year has been especially difficult. Less visiting due to COVID, and a much more tired and depressed Aunt Deb seemed to be visible. She stopped eating how she should. Eventually, she contracted COVID. She fell out of her bed while sick with the virus. Although X-rays revealed no broken bones, Aunt Deb was in excruciating pain and continued to eat less and less. Finally, she was under hospice care. As you can imagine... life continued to be stressful and then Krissy suffered brain aneurysms (3 aneurysms) on November 30th. She was taken to Silver Cross and then transported to Loyola. She underwent numerous surgeries and finally made it home on December 25th! Kind of crazy... 27 years (to the day) that Aunt Deb suffered her first aneurysm. Only five (5) days after Krissy made it home, Aunt Deb passed away. I believe, with everything in me, Aunt Deb held on until she knew Krissy was going to be okay! Now... now we need your help! Aunt Deb did not have life insurance (not to mention... Krissy doesn’t have medical insurance). Please consider helping Uncle Jack during this most difficult time! He’d like to give Aunt Deb a funeral or memorial that she deserves (when COVID allows) AND he could use additional support with piling medical bills. If you can find it in your heart, please consider providing support. Donations of ANY amount would be greatly appreciated!
