Last week my brother Bryan received the horrific diagnosis: Acute Myeloid Leukemia. As if that wasn't bad enough, the bone marrow later revealed: AML-MDS. Even though he's only 48 years old, this TP53 is extremely aggressive and very challenging to treat. Three weeks ago, he felt fine. Two weeks ago, he went to the doctor and was told he had bronchitis. A few days later, he went to the ER for fatigue, and everything spiraled downhill from there. It has been a nightmare and his world has been turned upside down. In three days, with multiple blood transfusions, he was transported to 3 different hospitals trying to find a doctor that could treat this specific and rare type of cancer. As of now, he will be inpatient for about 35- 45 days for aggressive chemo and a stem cell transplant. After that, the next phase of treatment will be determined. He has an extremely tough battle ahead of him. Every time I speak to Bryan, his main concern is his son Alex..... Alex is his world. Anybody that knows Bryan knows he has a heart of gold. Please donate if you are able to help him keep up with daily expenses- but more importantly, PLEASE join us in PRAYING for a miracle as Bryan fights for his life.
