A Dear Friend

7 years ago, I would’ve never imagined stepping into the teacher world and finding a person who was ready to tackle the journey of first year teaching together. She instantly made the transition into the real world so much easier just knowing I had someone by my side. Years have passed and I wouldn’t be the teacher I am today without her love, encouragement and guidance. This friend has encountered a lot. She lost her dad as a teenager, lost her nanny (her grandmother) earlier this year and just yesterday, lost her mom to a difficult battle of breast cancer. She’s had to endure more than anyone in their life should, especially at the age of 28. She has many siblings(one of which is only 10 years old),nieces and nephews and they are broken. Her and her oldest sibling are now the elders and are only in their late 20’s. Financially, I do not want them to have to worry about a thing. They have already had to give so much. Times are hard, people are without jobs, and the holidays have just ended. If you are able to contribute to this sweet family, I know they would more than appreciate it. They aren’t aware I’ve set this up and I’d like to keep it that way.
