Joey's Extra Skin Removal Surgery.

My name is Joey Whited and I'm from Chattanooga, TN. My weight has been something I have always struggled with, I have been overweight my entire life. About 2 and a half years ago I started having some serious health issues that were the direct result of being overweight and unhealthy. I developed heart problems and my anxiety and panic attacks were at an all time high. At this time I was at my heaviest, weighing 422lbs.  During this time I thought I was going to die. It was easily the darkest, most depressing time of my life. It took seeing multiple doctors and cardiologists to wake me up and realize I needed to change before this killed me. So that's what I did. For the next 2 years I went on an intense diet and started working out 6 days a week, which I still do today. I am happy to say that right now I am the healthiest I have ever been and feel better than I have in my entire life. I lost over 230 pounds without the help of pills, surgery, or some get thin quick gimmick. In doing this I have a lot of extra skin on pretty much my entire body. I have called and visited with several surgeons and the surgery to get this removed isn't cheap. The road I have been on has been a long, hard journey that has led me to this moment. The surgery to remove the skin isn't cheap and sadly, insurance will not cover it. It will take about three different surgeries to remove all the extra skin I have which is a daily burden for me emotionally, mentally, and physically. So saying all that, I'm doing something  that I don't really like doing and that's asking for help. Help from friends and family and whoever else may hear my little story and feel like sharing. All the money raised from this will go towards all medical bills and nothing else. I know that God has brought me to this point for a reason and I have such peace about this whole thing that I know it's going to happen. So I would like to thank you in advance for reading this and if you are albe to give thank you so much. This means so much to me and is the most important thing in my life right now. I have been given a second chance at life and I will not waste it.
