We are "Them Rumblin' Bones" a newly formed rock band that is in the process of recording our first album as a band.
Our members include Michael Stangel , Dave Stevens and Venom.
Perhaps a little background is in order at this stage.
Michael Stangel is a well known Music Producer, songwriter and performer who found success in 2013 on the hit show "The Voice" after a long illness cut him down and forced him to stop his working career for 2 years. This period included 3 brain operations, open heart surgery and a terminal prognosis. Michael has fought back and is now back in full swing and more determined than ever to find his way back at the top of the industry he has been a part of for 30 years.
Dave Stevens played in his first band with Michael in the early 80's and went on to become part of the StKilda landscape with his venture into retail and live music with Pure Pop Records . Dave is also the son of AC/DC's beloved Bon Scott . Now its time to show his artistic flare that's been passed down through his father's genes.
Rounding out the trio on drums is Venom, He is simply an institution in the Australian music industry. Having played with the "who's who "of the rock n roll for many years ,he is now putting his energy into his own project
"Them Rumblin' Bones".
The money raised will be used in three parts
1. Mixing and Mastering of the 10 song album ( Locally)
2. Artwork, Disc Pressing, T-Shirts, Social media campaign and poster design and distribution.
3. Album release shows in Melbourne and Geelong.
"Them Rumblin' Bones" have been given accsess to use the amazing facilities at Medici Studios and along with Michael's expertise in the studio, "Them Rumblin' Bones" will be able to create a record that would otherwise cost over well $60K to create, for the amount of $6K that we are hoping to raise.
The boys are working day and night in the belief that they are creating something quite unique and special.
Reason for creating the album ....
In a conversation on one of the bands recent tours the boys realised they had worked on so many projects for other people but only had a small body of work to show for themselves. It would mean the world to them if they could find the resources to complete what they have started and let the world enjoy their passion.
