Social Determinants of Vision and Disability

There are over 25 million people who are at risk or are nearly diabetic.  The best answer for quality of life and cost of care is to manage and control the body's physiology through moderate weight and physical activity.

Until now, there research has been mainly focused on better medications with billions of dollars being spent on how to take care of someone who becomes officially diabetic.

I believe that an alternative approach is to equip each patient with simple skills and strategies that focus on lifestyle choices such as nutrition and physcial activity will benefit the individual and society just as well as medication.

Let's prevent the onset of diabetes! The research will be held at The New England College of Optometry

Supplemental funding will be used for education and travel expenses. Your donation is not tax deductible!
