Hunter Cantrell's Journey

Hello, my name is Hunter Cantrell, and I am a little over two and a half months into my chemo treatment for stage 2B Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  

I underwent a PET scan about a week ago, which revealed that the majority of the cancer is now metabolically inactive as a result of successful current ABVD treatment--which is to say that we have made tremendous progress! 

At this point in time, the side-effects of the  chemo continue to accumulate as the most daunting aspect of this whole ordeal, and, as a result, I am beginning to experience both greater intensification and prolonged occurrence of these side-effects after each chemo treatment; which include fatigue in particular. I am still working quite a bit, but I find myself requiring to take a few more days off here and there in order to focus on rest than I used to.

I greatly appreciate those of you who have donated already to this page--which functions as a bit of a safety net for my family and I, as I anticipate further intensification of symptoms attributed to chemo. I will still be undergoing chemo for about the next four months. This may further impact my ability to work in the near future, which is why very compassionate coworkers of my mom's have assembled this page. 

It is humbling to me beyond my capacity of expression, the amount of well-wishes, generosity, and immense human kindness to which I have been privileged. I have a pretty great life.
