Barnet ABC and Box Sport London

In 2018 we started a gym with the vision to bring the community and people together through boxing and fitness. Using boxing and events like charity boxing nights and Frank Bruno meet and greets to raise money for children’s charities. Which in only 2 years have managed to raise an amazing £10,000 for these brilliant charities. We even have a class once a week for young adults with learning difficulties. The careers who bought them told us that out of a group of 12/14 only 7-8 will join in. They were astounded when every single one joined in with the boxing, not just once but every week. We create a safe environment for them to get fit and have fun through boxing. Most people feel going in to a boxing club very daunting, but we wanted to involve and attract people of all levels, weather your a professional boxer, amateur boxer or just enjoy keeping fit or boxing in general. And we’ve achieved that. We have Men and Women, Boys and Girls of all ages, training levels/goals and fitness levels here. Some want to become a boxing champion, some just want to get fit for a holiday they have coming up. In 2019 we took steps to another dream which was to form an amateur club and start producing champions. Already from the start we realised what a difference this was making to some of there lives. Some kids in care or without parents, some involved with gangs or bad circles, some lost and looking for guidance and some just wanting to be the next Floyd Mayweather and we want to make all of there dreams come true. But most important of all we want to keep them safe and full of purpose in a life that is so confusing to most. Boxing has the power to change peoples lives. It has saved more lives than it’s ever taken by a long long way. Things were/are going swimmingly, the gym has a great community feel with amazing members who have since become friends. The amateur sessions had started and the talent was clear to see from these hungry boys and girls, men and women! Then COVID hit and income slowed and government help is a myth. But the outgoings don’t disappear As a boxing gym we are fighters and we will never let this virus beat us, but we do need your help if you can! We want to provide everyone with the best equipment, services and training environment so with the money raised we can buy the club some fresh equipment and get some advertising set up ready for the return after this horrible pandemic. We understand times are hard right now so we aren’t expecting much but if you can donate, anything you donate will go along way in helping the club and anyone that comes here’s futures Thankyou in advance x
