✨The Psychedelic Equity Project has found a home! ✨

✨We’re moving off the interweb and into the real world!✨

We’re calling on the community’s help to make our dream of building a BIPOC-centered community healing center / educational space in NE Portland (unceded Molalla territory) come true!

⬇️More on that below‼️⬇️

We’re also calling for help in our creation of a grassroots-funded scholarship program for BIPOC-centered medicine work, training, and education.

About us:

Portland is at the epicenter of both the psychedelic renaissance, and the uprising against state-sanctioned police violence against Black & Indigenous people in the wake of the murder of George Floyd. Oregon recently became the first state in the nation to establish a path forward for legalized psilocybin-assisted therapy, which will create new, special privileges for those who qualify to provide or access it. Meanwhile, those most negatively impacted by the war on drugs will continue to suffer consequences for participating in those same activities. There is an urgent need to create the inclusive, equitable, anti-oppressive, anti-capitalist, and mycelial model of community care we believe is missing.

The Psychedelic Equity Project (PEP) is a grassroots coalition of psychedelic allies, educators, integration specialists, and healers of all stripes who share a commitment to social justice and human liberation. Since its founding in 2018, PEP has served the Portland psychedelic community as both a real and a virtual meeting ground for those who understand the profound interconnectedness of the movement for psychedelic healing and the timeless struggle to liberate humankind from all forms of oppression.

We work closely alongside people who have chosen to integrate psychedelics and entheogens into their personal healing journeys. We offer resources to those who wish to do so—in particular, we seek community with those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access this kind of radical health care. We teach and practice an embodied knowledge of the deep interconnection that our personal psychedelic and entheogenic-assisted experiences of profound healing have with the world’s healing from the wounds of white supremacy, patriarchy, colonialism, and all of the countless other life-denying systems of violent exploitation and oppression.

⭐️ Our beautiful space, located on 19th and Broadway, will serve as⭐️ :

✨ A hub for our continued work with people integrating psychedelics and entheogens into their healing journeys, practitioners and journeyers alike✨

⚡️An educational resource center for those who are interested in the world of psychedelic healing and harm reduction, with a commitment to centering the needs and voices of marginalized communities and disenfranchised people⚡️

⭐️ A psychedelic sanctuary / library / community center / classroom / sacred zone / ethnobotanical garden / social club / organizing & event space⭐️

✨ A decentralized, mycorrhizal non-space; a resolutely anti-colonialist, pro-Black and Indigenous healing center for social justice-minded psychedelic advocates to gather, share resources, and grow together✨

⚡️ PEP Scholarship Fund⚡️:

One of PEP’s foremost long-term goals is the creation of a scholarship fund to offset expenses for those journeyers and aspiring healers who face obstacles in their pursuit of this work. We dream of a world where radical health care is made abundantly available to BIPOC, people with prior felony convictions, and people without access to capital—in other words, those who are most in need of this kind of radical healing and yet will face the most barriers to access.

As part of our macro-effort to dismantle the many barriers to access for disenfranchised people who wish to get involved with psychedelic healing, we aspire to create a grassroots fund for the re-allocation of resources to communities and individuals in need of care. We are inspired by a spirit of reparations, re-distribution, and revolution.

We’re seeking donations from people who share in both our love of psychedelic healing and our commitment to anti-oppression work. If you yourself have encountered this deep healing and would like to play a role in creating opportunities for others to do so, we invite your participation in our fundraising efforts. We ask in particular for those journeyers whose current incarnations occupy positions of privilege to help in whatever way they can to offset the many expenses of establishing our space.

PEP is a resolutely anti-colonialist, pro-Black and Indigenous collective of healers & dreamers, occupying both the hyper-fractal non-space of the internet and the unceded Pacific Northwest territories of the Bands of Chinook, Clackamas, Cowlitz, Kalapuya, Kathlamet, Multnomah, Molalla, Tualatin, and Wasco. We believe that a more humane & equitable world is possible. We are united under a shared goal of creating such a world, where those who have been historically marginalized & brutalized are able to live without fear of violence. We believe in the power of psychedelic medicine to help us on our path to achieving true equity.
