Hi friends, Roger McCabe, who had an instrumental part in building (literally) Woodbine UMC and Hope Church experienced a catastrophic fire in his shop Christmas night. He lost materials for current projects, including irreplaceable antique items, a lifetime collection of unique tools as well as all the specialty tools a craftsman utilizes. The fire destroyed everything, including the building. Roger is a master craftsman and built the original pulpit and altar table and rails in the original Woodbine sanctuary and the original pastor’s office (plus so much more). At Hope, he constructed the sound booth, the altar kneelers and oversaw the construction of the stage. Insurance might cover some of his loss, but some items are worth more to him as a craftsman than they will certainly pay. Please consider donating (any amount) and sharing.
