Hellooo! I'm Sam and I am reaching out for support to help a friend in need- Heyward.
Hewyard is a buddy and a co-worker at our local farm-to- table restaurant. He is a bright eyed fella with a whitty personality that could make a statue laugh. When Heyward is around there is never a dull moment- or even silence; in fact, we have a drawer full of quotes from Heyward that could not go forgotten. He has a talent for making art and could school anyone in history or politics...and video games. Heyward always has a question for me about how he can improve his health and is eager to learn. Most recently he asked about how he could improve his heart health through his bike riding routine...
It was news that made our hearts hit the floor when we heard that Hewyard had suffered a traumatic injury. Riding his bike home from work last week, Heyward misjudged a curb and was sent over his handle bars. He landed on his face and laid motionless in pain for what seemed to be forever. After being rushed to the hospital, an MRI, CAT Scan and X-rays revealed that he had suffered a trauma to his cervical spine and skull. Recently he was released to the care of his mother who rushed from across the state to be with him. Patiently they wait for the swelling to receed so that the doctors can re-evaluate the condition of his spine and spinal chord. There is an unfortunate possibility that he may need surgery.
This is where We ask YOU for your loving help. Heyward will be out of work for who knows how long and his hospital bills are pilling up. In a sate of physical and mental stress it is very difficult for the body to be convinced that it is time to heal. Together, we can help alleviate the stress of the financial burden that this has already become and accelerate Heyward's healing. The proceeds will go directly towards Heyward's medical costs and will help him support himself during this time out of work.
One of our most foundational human needs is connection. Help us show Heyward that we care about him, his health and his swift recovery. Together we can make a little into a lot. Even smallest donation would show Heyward that he matters-a feeling can be the most uplifting kind.
