As many of you may know Kumar has been working abroad in the Bahamas and was in a terrible car accident last week.  He has sustained internal injuries but is slowly on the road to recovery.  His recovery and rehabilitation outside of the hospital will be lengthy when the time comes.  Kumar’s parents have flown to the Bahamas from London to be there for him; family members have taken turns traveling to be there for Kumar and his parents also.  Through support from his family and friends we would like to set up this fundraiser to help Kumar get back on his feet and be the amazing, strong, loving person he is. Kumar is loved by so many people and never fails to show his love for his family and friends.  He holds his love for his family and friends so close to his heart and is always there for them when need be.  Now it is our turn to be there for him through love, prayers, and becoming one large support system and backbone for him. 

 

Kumar’s father would like to encourage another way to give back for Kumar and others through blood donation.  Donating blood can help ensure that blood is available when it is needed the most.  As some of you may know Kumar had to have a blood transfusion within the first few days due to the amount of blood lost during the accident.  The hospital where Kumar currently is didn’t have an abundance of Kumar’s blood type is (B-) so his father reached out and asked us if we were a match and if we could donate regardless.  We would like to encourage those who are able to donate at your local blood bank, there is always someone who could most certainly benefit from this grand gesture. 

 

“I have not donated much blood up till now and this situation has been a real eye opener for myself, as I am sure for many of you too.  This is so vital that we donate blood on a regular basis based on our individual circumstances for such emergencies.  Therefore it is a humble request that we understand and appreciate the importance of donating blood.  Please bear this in mind and act upon it if you are able to do so.” – Hemant (Kumar’s father)

 

The road to recovery may be a long one for Kumar but his spirits remain high and we hope to continue receiving positive news from his team of medical professionals.  The outpouring love, prayers and support Kumar and his family have received has been truly overwhelming and very much appreciated.  Please continue to share this fundraiser for Kumar and his family.  

 

We highly encourage everyone to continue to share awareness for blood donation and take the time to donate at any local blood bank for not only Kumar but also for others that may be going through something similar.
