Vans Vet Expenses

There’s nothing more devastating than having a pet and loving your pet only to lose your pet to an unexpected accident. Meet Tank and Van. Van is the black one and the high energetic one is Tank. Tuesday evening they were both so excited to take a run through the park and play in the snow that they took off when the car door opened. Running their little hearts out. They’re both 9 months; brother and sister. They’ve never spent one day alone. As my husband ran after them; losing his car keys in the snow, the only set he had by the way; to his demise he lost sight of them both in the darkness. Panicking and upset he called his mom and my sister and her husband; as I lay helpless in the hospital 7 months pregnant and alone. After about an hour of searching; my husband and his mom came upon Van who’d been hit by a car. She lay helplessly bleeding profusely from the left side of her head and the right back leg and thigh area. Blood was pouring from her nose. She lay in a ball looking like an abandoned tire on the side of the road. A hit and run we suppose. My husband screamed in agony falling to the ground and grasping his arms around Van. She lie still in shock. As he fell backwards in the snow waling out of emotion, Van lifted her head; she was alive. My mother-in-law yelled get up come on she’s alive and they proceeded to the animal hospital. The main concern upon arrival was payment. She needed transport also and their main concern was payment. Ultimately we paid $450 out of the $545 and transported her ourselves 35 mi away. Upon arrival to that hospital the main concern was payment. Ultimately a payment was made of $400 after two hours of negotiations and practically begging for a payment arrangement. Because they’ve been burned so many times; they force payment by any means. Through different pet loans, cash or credit. If you cannot pay you have to take your pet despite the life threatening issues or it would be considered abandonment. Unbelievable. We arrived at this second location at or around a little after midnight. Needless to say it wasn’t until we made a deposit at around 2:30am that Van was given IVC placement to began treatment. To no avail she’s still inpatient and a call was received on today as to when we’d be making a payment again despite the debit card being given for automatic payments to be taken out each month until the one days balance of $1472.84 minus the $400 is satisfied. Not counting today or any other days. Since this is a first of such accident for us and definitely unexpected; since it’s a pandemic and neither of us is working; since we love our pets unconditionally; we are asking for any help that can be given for the sake of treatment for our beloved Van. Any little bit will help. We still haven’t found her brother Tank but are hopeful. Today Van is feeling better. But she has a ways to go but she will recover. We couldn’t do a CT scan because that’s well over $2000. Any and all help will be so appreciated. Though it is holiday time and we all are strained in some ways financially; know that you are appreciated. Wishing you blessings and happy holidays. The Jackson’s
