Winter feed fundraiser
This is a fundraiser for the Horse and Farm Animal Sanctuary’s winter feed fund.
Throughout the colder months our feed bill increases, all of our residents need more straw for bedding and hay. Without doing a winter feed fundraiser we can’t afford the expensive bills.
Below is a break down of our out goings, this is solely feed and bedding. The reason why I break the total down is so everyone can see what I need to spend on feed and bedding to make it through to spring.
The total is for 3 months of feed, once spring arrives the cattle will be out and the horses will be back in the fields, our feed bill will then reduce.
I have broke it down into sections to be transparent on the expenses.
Sheep - 36 small bales : £162
- 24 bags dry feed : £192
Total = £354
Cows - 60 large bales hay : £1800
- 12 bales of straw : £300
- 36 bags dry feed £288
Total = £2388
Horses - 72 large bales hay £2160
Birds - 12 bags dry feed £96
Pigs - 12 bales of straw £300
- 252 bags dry feed £2016
Total = £2316
Grand total = £7314
I understand that it’s been a financially hard year for everyone, I do very much appreciated all of the help, support and generosity from our amazing supporters.
As a thank you gesture to everyone who donates £12 or more I’ll be sending you a A3 (open) sanctuary calendar to hang on your wall so every day you can see the animals which you have helped throughout winter.
