Dear family and friends,

I am reaching out to you all for support during a very difficult and uncertain time in our life.

In November, I had surgery to remove a tumor and after a month of waiting, we found out that it was not good (a cancer).

I was informed of the consensus by two oncologic teams that another surgery and imaging is needed. I returned for this care in January, and while there, prior to it, discovered that I am pregnant. Because of this miraculous blessing, the necessary care was delayed until it was safe to operate while pregnant, with the remaining care being delayed until after delivery. I will be traveling out of state a fourth time to undergo this surgery next week.

As one can imagine, or may have experienced, this sort of circumstance has had a major impact on our life and finances. As I was already experiencing symptomology, I had began my career as a nurse practitioner. I continued working through this, sought and coordinated care for myself, and stopped just a few weeks prior to my surgery. Due to symtpomolgy, travel, surgery, recovery, and now a high risk pregnancy with a recent complication, and a second surgery upcoming, I have been ordered by care providers and have been unable to return to work. My incredibly hardworking, supportive husband has continued to work to provide for our growing family but due to the nature of this situation has exhausted paid time off and will be taking more unpaid time off to be there for my next surgery, any further care, and time after birth for paternity leave.

We understand these are difficult times for many people. We appreciate any support you may be able to offer whether it be contributing to this fund with no amount being too small, or by keeping our growing family in your positive thoughts or prayer.
