In loving memory of Josephine

Hi Everyone. Sadly, we found our mother in the bathroom today Tuesday 22nd December 2020 at 07:19am. She collapsed after getting ready for church. She managed to get herself prepared for church as she would usually do however her heart stopped beating and she collapsed on the spot without making any noises or sounds to trigger anyone. Her daughter came in to find her well dressed and slumped slightly next to the bathroom, we did everything to try and bring her back. As traumatic as this is. We want to raise awareness on lack of care. We took my mother to the hospital on Friday 18th of December 2020 to North Middlesex as she expressed feeling pain in her lower abdomen. The doctors forgot we were there then called her after 2 hours and asked if she was still there, after seeing her (without taking any urine samples or blood samples to test) they advised she reported back to her GP doctor for further recommendation as they weren’t the unit to deal with this after being in the hospital for 5 hours in total. We tried contacting the GP numerous of times without getting any response, going to the dial tone or when finally getting through to them in person you have to call back the next day due to lack of doctors. We are not blaming anyone, that said we do want to raise awareness in terms of being extra cautious with people reporting to the hospital and being dismissed, also GPS should have emergency slots for such cases to assist those that have been recommended by the doctor. Our mother was a happy, joyful, loving caring, compassionate, considerate, admirable woman and we would be most grateful for your support in helping us give her a send of she deserves. 60 years young, it was only the 11th November 2020 that we celebrated her birthday. We were not prepared for this at all, with all the responsibilities we now have we would appreciate your support immensely. It is a traumatic time for us.
