Hello Everyone,
I am Rheena, a cousin of Ian's, but he was more like my brother. Ian was an incredible person, a person you could count on to make everyone laugh or tell a good story. He was thoughtful, caring, outgoing, funny and full of life, and he was a friend to everyone. Anyone who knew him knows that he was the glue that held his family and friends together.
Unfortunately, on Monday, June 6th all of that changed when Mitchell, his 9 yr old son, came home from school and could not wake up his dad.
With his life cut short at only 38 years young, he is survived by his 9 year old son, Mitchell, and his fiancee, Madeline.
Ian took pride in his work and family but his absolute pride and joy was his son. Ian is the epitome of a caring, devoted father. He was his son’s best friend and he always made sure that he was there for Mitchell during his smallest moments to his biggest achievements. He worked hard the way he did so that he could provide the resources his son needs to succeed. Unfortunately, as the breadwinner of the family, Mitchell and his mom are suddenly faced with seen and unforeseen financial burdens. We, as his family, would like to continue Ian’s dream for his son to reach his potential but we can’t do it alone.
Anyone who has lost someone special in their lives so abruptly knows that this is the most trying time of his or her life. Often times, people do not know what to say or how to help and ease the pain. People have been asking how they can show their love and support; in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mitchell's college fund and also towards Ian's hospital bills.
