Friends and Followers of Stacey Buckner: help us wish Stacey a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and extend our heartfelt appreciation for all that she does, gives and organizes for others in this community. What started with filling the basic hygiene needs (hand washing and hot showers) of homeless neighbors in Fayetteville by using resources she had on her jeep that was originally outfitted for camping, has now turned into a multi-prong full-blown nonprofit organization, Off-road Outreach. Stacey visits homeless encampments weekly with clean clothes, warm blankets, hot showers, hygiene kits and food. Stacey also uses her personal Jeep to help organize adventure therapy trips for Veterans, and has recently started a Veggies for Vets program. She has a lot of support from so many in the community and partners with several other area organizations... but so much of what she does is based on her personal jeep and it’s specialized equipment. Recently, Stacey was faced with trying to fund a very expensive fix of a bent frame on her Jeep (adventure therapy mishap) or working with #PerformanceJeepofClinton to purchase a new Jeep. She is very appreciative of the great deal she got, but now she has to start all over again on outfitting her gear (customized roof rack, fold out shower, water tanks, etc). Stacey continues to be dedicated to her work, but is currently not able to meet the hygiene needs of so many that have come to rely on her. This is where all her passion started, and Stacey feels like she is letting so many in our community down. Stacey is an inspiration to so many, and truly is the “hands and feet” of Jesus.
