Hello everyone, I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes of helping to pay for my father’s cremation expenses. In October of this year my father, Ryan, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, as well as 3 tumors on his brain. After receiving this diagnoses my father was still given hope, as he was 54 years old, and the doctors believed that treatment would be able to save him. With great effort my father traveled to Dartmouth hospital day after day, week after week with what began with treatment for his tumors on his brain. This involved a very intense radiation treatment that was thought to have been successful. Through November my dad still believed that he would be able to go through treatment, and may be able to keep a few years ahead of him, and meet his new and only grandson. Suddenly things took a turn for the worse, as my dad became sicker and sicker. He got weak and was unable to continue on with the thought of treatment. On December 12th he went to the emergency room as he could tell something wasn’t right. He had suffered multiple strokes, brain bleeds as well as blood restricting. He developed a large amount of bloods clots that had traveled to his brain and his lungs. His cancer spread to his brain, and his liver. At that point they gave him about a week or so left to live. My father grew weaker and weaker as he received his treatment in Dartmouth hospital. After such a whirlwind of events over the two months since he received his original diagnosis my father Ryan became tired, and unable to hold on any longer. After all of that pain and suffering, I am relieved to say he peacefully passed in his sleep on 12/22/20. Under the rough exterior, my father was a great man, a hard worker, and had a good heart. I know that many cared about him, and enjoyed his presence. He was a extremely talented stone mason and took great pride in all he created. It makes my heart smile to know a piece of him is left behind on this earth with every project that he created. I feel a bit hesitant to make this GoFundMe and to ask for help... but we have been shown a great support from loved ones during this process. I am in hopes that I may get some help to pay for my fathers cremation expenses, and make this time a bit less stressful.
