My mother Laura has been battling through stage four breast cancer since October 2015. She's the strongest person I know and I feel she deserves the world. Money is very tough for her with all the medical bills, medicines, and alternative treatments especially with her not working. Her chemo is waring her down but the alternative treatments she's been trying have been working wonders, the only problem is that they are so expensive. I know that all my mom wants to do is get better and provide for her family but with all her bills and debt she's always worried about the future and stressed which she in no way needs right now.
About 10 years ago my family moved over to England where we lived for 6 years, and then moved over to Italy. My mom got diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer which ultimately helped us get back to US.
My mom is extremely strong and beat this terrible illness once and I know she can again with a great support system.
Its hard seeing her not be able to work, teaching is her passion but with her cancer it's best for her not to be stressed nor be around any thing that could make her ill. Before she was diagnosed she taught at Sun Prairie Alternative High School, last year she taught seniors to try and help them pass their GED and graduate, all of her students passed! I remember how happy and proud she was when each person passed, she truly cares about every single student shes ever had. Living in England she taught adults with disabilities and would come home telling me about how her students would reach different milestones and when she taught at the waunakee Middle School for 10 years she recieved the teacher of the year award.
My mom has helped so many people, she always puts others before her self and is so strong and independent. She deserves the world.
