Greetings,

My name is Alejandro (Alex) Cerda and my mother was Maria Isabel Cerda whom passed away from a long 15 year battle with Cancer this past June 4th, 2016. My mother was a very courageous woman who would never give up and always held her head high when times would become difficult. She was without a doubt the heart and soul of our family. My mother was married to a Great Husband and Father David Cerda whom never left her side. I also have a Sister named Gabriela and a Brother named Christian and we her children were her world.

My mother despite her illnes was a woman that was full of life that loved to smile and laugh with Friends and Family. She always made friends along the way wherever she traveled. A huge fan of flowers and exotic plant life, her greatest hobby was spending time in her own Garden attending to her beautiful vibrant plants, all while feeding birds and hummingbirds that would come by daily to say hello.

My mother was well known for being one of the nicest people you could come across and despite being a housewife, her giving personality and generosity was always on display. Isabel always wanted to see children in need be comforted. She had over 35 nieces and nephews in her homeland of Mexico and every single year she managed to have at least 1 gift for each of them every year she was able to go. My mother bless her heart, was known as the Santa Claus of her family and neighborhood because in the high poverty of her town she was always able to pull through somehow and make a child smile by providing a gift.

Maria Isabel was loved by many people as she had an infectious loving personality that brought a glow anywhere she was present. She will be greatly missed by all but is now finally Resting in Peace with our Lord God.

*We are currently raising funds to help with the memorial services that will be provided in the upcoming week. Although our family is very united and financially supportive during this difficult time, we are currently seeking any contributions that you may be able to provide.  All proceeds to the Maria Isabel Cerda fund will be used to cover any funeral expenses and memorial services.
