In October, Capri was diagnosed with COVID-19 which has destroyed her kidneys to the point that she needs to start dialysis while she waits for a kidney transplant. She has recently been missing a lot of days at work due to her symptoms of shortness of breath, body swelling, and chest pain related to her failing kidneys. Dialysis in itself will be a full time job for her. It will require her to go into a clinic and be hooked up to a machine for 3 days a week. Capri is a strong and amazing mom of three beautiful kids and has worked hard to provide for them as a single mom. Capri helped care for patients as a CNA (one of the best!) at Harrison Medical Center for 18 years and now works for Kaiser. She never asks for help, but I think it is time for her to get some!
