Michael's ALS Expenses

I met Michael almost three years ago, and fell for these blue eyes and dimples.  Six years ago he was diagnosed with ALS.  The doctor gave him six months, and he's defied the odds, for which I am greatful.  I hope to have many more years with him.  

Although there is not yet a cure for ALS, there are some treatments that show promise.  They aren't covered by insurance.  We would like to pursue one such treatment in hopes of at least slowing the progression of the disease.  It's not cheap, but I think he's worth it.

I would also like to make some adaptive modifications to my home so that he can live here as it's no longer safe for him to live alone.  His arms are failing and his legs are starting to go and he has fallen several times.  Hard to believe he was once a power weight lifter!  I hope some day he will be again.  

I never knew Michael when he didn't have ALS, but someday I hope to.  Your support means so much to the both of us.  Thank you so much!
