Remembering Vanessa Cocuzza
On Wednesday, December 2, 2020 we tragically lost our wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and sweet, sweet friend to COVID19. Vanessa was many things to many people, but most of all, she was known for her caring heart, sympathetic ear, welcoming smile, and kind spirit. She was someone you were honored to call your friend. In a year that we all have struggled to navigate, we never expected this loss. Vanessa was dedicated to her family, her “boys,” as she would say with unwavering devotion. She was a doting daughter to her mom and best friend to her brothers and their families. Her work family, or as many may say “framily” mourns her loss with every passing day. Vanessa spent more than two decades working for Paychex, Inc. servicing clients and serving as a valuable resource to the many employees who she managed. Many employees would loving refer to her as their “work mom.” This sentiment exemplifies her commitment to her staff and her ability to build meaningful relationships with her team. As we mourn the loss of our dear Vanessa, we think of those she leaves behind… Her loving husband and soulmate, Dominick, her two adored sons, Sal and Dom, her mother, two brothers and their families, her little love of a pup – Gino and the many friends and coworkers who will miss her forever. We are asking that you give what you can to support the Cocuzza-Zanni family during this difficult time. The only thing we can do to honor the sweet soul Vanessa was to so many is to support her beloved family as much as possible. Mar Razalan quotes “If you leave a legacy of love and kindness to those who come into your life…they will find it hard to erase you from their hearts.” We love you Vanessa! You will be in our hearts always.
