Hi everybody,
This is Kent Ogle at Newschannel 4. This is an emergency in my opinion. We only have 20 days to save this VITAL service.
Our family, like many of our veiwers' families were very disappointed watching the story we aired on the revenue failure at the state capital leading to cuts that will stop Mobile Meals of Oklahoma County. This all volunteer service delivers more than 150,000 hot meals to our most fragile and lonely citizens. Can you imagine your grandparents going hungry in our city?
For some it's not just their only meal of the day, it is their only human contact of the day. These volunteers, angels on earth in my opinion, not only bring the meals but stay and visit with our senior citizens providing the emotional support that is just as important as the nutition they deliver.
While I am not affiliated with the program I wanted to help get this campaign started with a donation. Please join me!
