Kenny Cauthen Debate Scholarship

A scholarship fund has been established in the memory of Kenny "KDOG" Cauthen.  This scholarship fund will provide an annual scholarship to one outstanding young debater from Texas who has either attended Lindale High School or will attend The University of Texas at Austin or Baylor University.

Kenny was an outstanding debater, winning the Texas State Debate Championship with his partner, but also achieved tremendous success on the debate circuit, debating for UT and Baylor.  He passed away unexpectedly on  June 4, 2016.

Kenny was passionate about coaching young debaters from all over the country.  Over the years, Kenny impacted the lives of countless students. Not only did he elevate their debate skills, but he became a personal friend and encourager to all that crossed his path.  He will be missed by the entire debate community.

This scholarship fund will be administered by his parents with the help of other close debate professionals and coaches who Kenny worked with.  Your gift will not only honor his memory, but will provide assistance to young debaters annually.
