fund for Katharine Schenck

W. Tom Schenck lost his battle with alcoholism and depression on June 6th, 2016.  He loved dogs, and especially his Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Beagles.  He was active in fostering rescued Corgis and showed his dogs in rally obedience and agility.  He co-taught rally classes at the Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana with his wife Katharine.  I had the pleasure of training with them with my little Frenchie girl, Bella, whom Tom always loved on.  He had a keen wit and a genuine love for dogs.  Although he hadn't been active in recent years, I remember him showing his Beagle girls in agility.  He had the patience of a saint.  Tom leaves Katharine and three dogs- two rescue Corgis Puck and Lindy, and their Beagle, Mambo.  There inevitably are expenses, anticipated and unanticipated.  This fund will assist Katharine with Tom's final expenses and any remaining funds will be donated to dog rescues that Katharine and Tom were involved with.
