Help Heidi with cancer medical bills

Donation protected
Hello, my sweet wife of 25 years Heidi has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s non invasive but rapid growing. She was misdiagnosed at her last screening where they scheduled a biopsy but then a different doctor on the day of her biopsy said she didn’t need it. Heidi didn’t feel right about it all and got a 2nd opinion. This is when her life suddenly changed. Being told you have cancer is gut wrenching. She had options of either removing the cancer and getting radiation, which damages tissue, organs and your bones, or getting a mastectomy. She chose the double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery Heidi will have multiple surgeries and weekly doctor visits, she will be out of work for months overall. The first surgery which is scheduled for Jan 5th is the double mastectomy and she will be out for 6 weeks. I am taking two weeks off from my work as well to care for her. She won’t be able to lift anything over 10lbs and will need emotional support as well. This has been very rough for Heidi (I’m sure anyone that gets hit with this as well) and has taken its toll. She tries so hard to stay strong and hold it together but it’s a daily struggle. We do not struggle financially but do depend on both incomes. We just recently sold my custom (spare) truck to help out by paying down credit cards. My company has offered me the paid time off to help with Heidi, I can’t take the entire 6 weeks off but we are great full for what they have done for us. We’ve always donated to those in need when we could and just ask for a little in return. This is hard for me to do, I’ve always been stubborn to ask for help and always take care of things myself, we figure it out. Her insurance company isn’t covering the reconstruction nor are they covering the left breast mastectomy. They also do not cover non-toxic therapies. She gets lumps all the time but they haven’t been cancerous until now on her right side, she has a 70% chance of dealing with all of this all over again if she was to not do the mastectomy on the left side as well. She has very fibrous tissue and it is a constant issue. A coworker mentioned go fund me saying that she (also with breast cancer) was able to get help with her medical bills this way. We had only planned on being in debt for a while, not even thinking about donations. I’m fine with that, although I think it would help with Heidi’s healing to not have to worry about it. This goal would cover a portion of the bills and help us in a big way. We are working with Doctor Roeder at AZ breast health specialist and she has been amazing.

Thank you, Preston
