Our father, Jose Rodriguez, has been in the hospital for over a month now.. May 3rd, 2016, Dad went to the ER because he was having chest pains. He was admitted into CHi St Lukes in Pasadena as he was having abnormal heart rate. On May 9th, he had to have an emergency Pacemaker implanted. A few days later he was told that he had Fluid in the lungs and his heart. He was transported to the Chi St. Lukes in the Medical Center where he would be getting the surgery to get the fluid drained from the lungs and the heart. That went well and a few days later he was moved out of ICU, only to be moved back a few days later after complications with more fluid build up. Once again they drained the fluid and he started recuperating and was moved out of the ICU again into a regular room. On Sunday, May 29th, he went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated, which caused his to lose oxygen in the brain, which also caused him to have seizures. After so many tests, CT's and X-Rays etc..! The Doctors are saying that he has no brain activity. We are hoping for a miracle. This has been the hardest situation our family has ever experienced. In the next few days we will have to decide what would be best for our father. After a month of being in the hospital and the medical bills have been accumulating.
