If you don't love Maat, it must be because you've never met him.  He's a kind, loving, funny, wonderful soul who has brought joy and healing to so many lives.  He is a giver who is willing to go out of his way to help others.



Recently, Maat had a stroke.  He works as a massage therapist and is currently dealing with some sensory impairment.  The stroke was unexpected and no one is certain yet when Maat might be able to return to work.  

Unfortunately, the stroke didn't erase Maat's bills so until he's well and able to work again, he needs our help to cover his expenses.

Maat would never ask for anything for himself so we, the Embodiment Arts Collective, decided to start this GoFundMe for him.  

We're guessing that Maat has 3-6 months of recovery before he's all the way back up and at it.  The expenses we know for certain that he has are:

$1400/month for rent on his office
$800/month rent at his home

These add up with medical expenses and daily costs like groceries quickly so we set our goal at $10,000 to try to be sure that Maat doesn't have to add worries about money to his plate right now.



All of us who love Maat want him to recover and return. If this is one stress we can help him with, we want to do it.  So we're asking you to help us.  

Help us help Maat recover.  Help us as we support a member of our community who would do the same for any of us in a heartbeat.  Help us show Maat how loved and treasured he is by those fortunate enough to know him.
